Two ways we deliver, depending on what your site is built on.
SEO and site work fall into very different shapes depending on whether your platform lets us push changes by code or makes us click through a dashboard. The cost, the speed, and the work look different in each case — so we don't pretend they're the same engagement.
Iris Managed
For sites where we can ship changes by code or API. Faster, automated, ongoing.
- How fixes ship: git commits, API calls, scriptable bulk updates
- SEO turnaround: minutes per change, not hours
- Re-audits: automated — we notice regressions in hours, not months
- Bulk operations: 500 product titles in 10 minutes; schema across 1,000 blog posts in one pass
- Ongoing relationship: we monitor and adjust continuously, not just at engagement boundaries
Works on
Webflow · Shopify · WordPress (with REST API) · Ghost · Next.js · Astro · custom builds we deliver
Iris Advisory
For sites on platforms without a write API. We deliver an implementation packet you ship in your dashboard.
- How fixes ship: a step-by-step packet with copy-paste-ready blocks for every change. You or your assistant clicks through your dashboard.
- SEO turnaround: 2–4 hours of focused dashboard work for a typical small site
- Re-audits: manual public-data sweeps after each phase ships
- Bulk operations: not possible — every page edited individually
- Common up-sell: migration to a Tier-1 platform once we've proven value, so future SEO becomes Managed
Works on
Wix · Squarespace · GoDaddy Website Builder · Weebly · agency-managed CMSes we don't have admin on
Which tier are you in?
Tell us your site's URL on the first call and we'll tell you on the spot. As a rough guide: if you bought a template at wix.com, squarespace.com, or godaddy.com and edit your site in their built-in editor, you're Advisory. If your site is on Webflow, Shopify, WordPress with plugins, or a developer built it custom, you're almost certainly Managed.
Honest pricing requires honest scope.
Most agencies quote one rate for SEO regardless of platform — but a Wix engagement and a Webflow engagement take wildly different amounts of human time to deliver. Someone is always being miscounted. Iris's edge isn't doing SEO faster than other agencies; it's doing SEO on platforms where we have leverage. We charge accordingly, and we're transparent about which tier you're in before you sign anything.
Frequently asked
The questions prospects ask us most often when they hit this page.
- Can I switch from Advisory to Managed later?
- Yes — and most clients do. We typically run an Advisory engagement first to ship the urgent fixes, then propose a migration to a Tier-1 platform as Phase 2 once we've earned the trust.
- How much does a migration cost?
- Depends on the size of the site. A 5-page site moves to Webflow or Astro in about a week. A 500-page e-commerce site is a 4–6 week project. We quote it specifically — no canned price sheet.
- Why is Wix on the slower tier?
- Wix doesn't expose a public write API for SEO settings — every change is made by hand in their dashboard. That's the platform, not Iris.
- What if I want to stay on Wix?
- Totally fine. The Advisory engagement still ships every fix worth shipping — delivered as a packet you (or your VA) implement. Most small businesses do exactly this.
- Will my site look the same after a migration?
- Yes, by default. We rebuild the visual design pixel-for-pixel unless you ask for a refresh. Most clients only realize the platform changed because we say so.
- Do I have to choose a tier on the first call?
- No. We'll audit your current site for free and tell you which tier fits. You decide after that.
